Film Director Louis Malle

Malle has lived in the United States for the past ten years, but returned to his native France to make his newest film, Au Revoir Les Enfants. He says the movie is based on his own experiences growing up in occupied France during World War II. Malle says his work is alternately personal and self-effacing. His other films include The Silent World and My Dinner with Andre.
